This event was planned for 2020 and will now be held as a hybrid event this year!
Every three years, the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (IFOAM) hosts its emblematic Organic World Congress (OWC) in conjunction with their General Assembly, involving thousands of organic farmers, producers, researchers, advocates and policy experts from around the world. By rotating across countries, the OWC brings global visibility to the host country.
This year’s OWC will include a pre-conference focused on organic seed to be held September 6th and 7th. Seed Ambassadors: Building an International Network to Advance Organic Seed Systems will include a field tour of research and farm sites working on organic seed and plant breeding, interactive culinary activities, participatory workshops, and facilitated group discussions. Learn more about the Seed Ambassadors pre-conference.
Organics International’s General Assembly voted for Rennes, France to host the 20th OWC September 6–10, 2021. The OWC aims to provide organic and likeminded stakeholders working toward sustainable agriculture, value chains, and consumption with an opportunity to trade knowledge, innovations, and experiences about the organic world. The congress offers inspiration and momentum to all who take part and is seen as a leading event for the global organic sector.
