NOSB to Discuss Three Seed Policy Proposals at Fall Meeting

Join OSA in Minneapolis, Minnesota, next month for the fall meeting of the National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) from Oct. 24 – 26, 2018. Three proposals related to seed are on the agenda. Your input is essential to the public policy making process, and helps to strengthen organic seed policies in the following areas:

Strengthening the Organic Seed Guidance
Excluded Method Determinations
Genetic Integrity Transparency of Seed Grown on Organic Land

Written comments are due October 4, 2018, and can be submitted here. If you plan to attend the meeting in Minneapolis, don’t forget to sign up for in-person comments. Be sure to also register for the National Organic Coalition’s pre-NOSB meeting on Oct. 23. And if you can’t make it to the NOSB meeting, you can still share oral comments with the board via two webinars on October 16 and 18. Questions? Contact OSA’s Kiki Hubbard.
