Help Us Put the Power of Seed in the Hands of Farmers

U.S. agriculture is at a crossroads as farmers grapple with climate change, toxic chemicals, water shortages, market consolidation, and seed patents. Too many farmers face these threats every waking moment. And too many eaters don’t think about them at all.

Organic Seed Alliance is changing that and we need your support to keep it going. We are putting seeds back where they belong – in the hands of the farmers. Our work ensures the farmers growing your food have the best seed possible: for their farm, for the planet, and for the people they feed.

When farmers control the seed they sow, big change is possible: they can adapt their seed to changing climates, maintain competitive businesses, and provide more food diversity to eaters.

This is how resiliency is achieved. This is how farmers unlock the power of seed.

Jamie Chevalier, grower and owner of Quail Seeds in Mendocino County, CA, says she wouldn’t be in business today without OSA’s support:

Jamie Chevalier

We have a small family seed business in a rural area. Living where we do, we never would have had access to the information, networks, and equipment we needed without OSA’s programs. I’ve had a lot of experience with nonprofits, and have seen how they can get bogged down in endless talk. Not OSA. They really listen. Then, they help facilitate solutions that are focused, economical, and practical.

Farmers should have control over the seed they grow, and have the skills and knowledge to save and adapt seed to their local climate, soil conditions, and community needs.

Just as farmers depend on us, we depend on you, our supporters, to respond in a time of need.

Please donate today and help put the power of seed in the hands of farmers.
