GiveBIG on May 6th and Plant the Seeds of Resilience

At Organic Seed Alliance, we believe in the hope inherent in every seed and the resilience of farmers and food systems relying on seed that can be saved, improved, adapted and shared.

We need that hope and resilience now more than ever at this time of global crisis. While the world faces a pandemic, farmers continue to plant the seeds that grow our food.

Help OSA nurture seeds of hope during GiveBIG Washington on May 6. When we give, we take a conscious step toward creating a more resilient society, and when we do it together, we make greater strides toward the common good.

On GiveBIG day, over 1,000 nonprofits in the Greater Seattle area will join forces to encourage support for our collective impact in the Puget Sound region.

Early giving will open on April 15 making it easy to schedule your donation any time before the BIG day. Thanks to a generous sustaining donor, the earliest donations will be matched up to $2,500! We need your help to meet the match and put your gifts to work for farmers and our regional food system.

OSA is dedicating funds raised during GiveBIG to meeting the needs of Pacific Northwest farmers and the communities they feed. Underserved at the best of times, organic farmers need our support now as the restaurants they supply are shuttered. These funds will support OSA’s farmer outreach, collaborations to promote regional organic varieties, and our ability to deliver produce from our research farm to food banks and our local hospital cafeteria. Together we will build a resilient regional food system that supports healthy people and a healthy planet.

Thank you for supporting OSA’s mission and please join in this day of giving on May 6!
