Support Organic Seed · April 15, 2020

Thank you for Giving BIG!

All of us at Organic Seed Alliance are sincerely grateful for your support of our mission and hope that you, your families and friends are well as we face this pandemic together.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors during #GivingTuesdayNow and GiveBIG, an annual day of giving in the Seattle region, we exceeded our fundraising match of $4,500!

This year funds will be dedicated to efforts that address the challenges and changes in our farming communities brought on by the coronavirus. OSA will be ramping up our efforts to provide more:

  • Outreach to farmers, particularly those in underserved communities, to share existing resources, identify gaps and develop more online tools
  • Contributions of seeds and resources to Victory Garden programs, including the Cooperative Gardens Commission
  • Outreach to seed growers and seed companies to understand the impact of an unprecedented demand for seed and to support increased production this fall
  • Our ability to deliver produce from our research farm to food banks, schools and local hospital cafeterias.

Now more than ever, we need the hope inherent in every seed and the resilience of farmers and food systems relying on organic seed. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT.
