New Course Provides Training on the Organic Seed Regulation

Organic Seed Alliance is happy to announce a new course in the National Organic Program’s (NOP) Organic Integrity learning Center, titled: Organic Seed Search. OSA was honored to develop this course in partnership with the Accredited Certifiers Association. We hope the course supports organic certifiers, organic inspectors, and organic operations in better understanding the organic seed requirement and the benefits of sourcing organic seed, how to document organic seed searches, and best practices for enforcing the requirement.

Organic Seed Search Course

What will participants learn from this course?

The uneven supply of organic seed presents challenges to certifiers and inspectors in verifying compliance with the seed requirement. This course provides best practices for addressing some of the most common challenges that certifiers and inspectors face when reviewing seed searches. The course also explains how to document organic seed searches and provides operations with resources for sourcing more organic seed and conducting variety trials.

How do participants enroll?

The Organic Integrity Learning Center is a self-enrolled learning program and all trainings are free! To get started, click the button below and follow the instructions.
