Registration Open for the 2022 Student Organic Seed Symposium

We’re excited to share that the Student Organic Seed Symposium is BACK! Registration for the 9th Annual Student Organic Seed Symposium (SOSS) is live. This year’s event will be held July 27th – 31st at West Virginia University in Morgantown, WV. The Student Organic Seed Symposium is an annual gathering of graduate students and organic seed advocates from all walks of life including: undergraduates, recent graduates, farmers, and seed professionals in the academic, non-profit, and private sectors.

The theme for this year’s event is “Small-scale agriculture: sowing sustainable local food systems.” Through lectures, informal discussion, demonstration plots of participants’ breeding and seed work, and hands-on activities, SOSS aims to build a growing community of graduate students, faculty members, farmers, and seed professionals working in organic and sustainable seed systems.

Space is limited to 75 participants for this year’s symposium, so register soon.
