A Fallow Year for the Organic Seed Growers Conference

We’ll gather again in winter 2025

The Organic Seed Growers Conference is a biennial gathering by and for agroecological seed communities in the U.S. and across the world. Many of you have helped co-create the event both in person and in 2020 when the gathering shifted to a fully virtual format. We’ve created many channels for receiving feedback and input about the next conference through event evaluations, an online survey, and a live collaborative planning session. Through all of those pathways, we’ve heard loud and clear that the next event must include both an in-person gathering and a rich virtual connection. There is no replacement for being together in-person to learn, celebrate, and meet new folks. And the virtual gathering dissolved barriers for so many growers who’d long wanted to participate but couldn’t get away from the farm or travel to the event. We’re listening and we’re committed to building the event to be what participants need. To co-create this new format of the conference with community and thoughtfulness, we’re taking an extra fallow year and will host the next Organic Seed Growers Conference in the winter of 2025.

The input channels for planning the 2025 conference will continue to be open and grow. Please share any comments, ideas, or suggestions related to the 12th Organic Seed Growers Conference with us using the button below.

Conference Archives

Several sessions from the 2022 gathering were recorded and are available for replay here. You’re also invited to visit the conference space in Organic Seed Commons for a full archive of the 2022 event and to connect with other folks working with seed. You can dig even deeper into conference archives in our online resource library.
