Organic Seed Alliance’s California-based field research season is underway with our participatory quinoa breeding project. We’re continuing to partner with Blake Richards at Wild Rose Farm to advance over 80 quinoa breeding lines this field season. These lines have been selected for over a decade to thrive in organic, high-density, dry farm conditions.
We’re excited to share that we’ve begun sending out sample seed of some of these lines for growers to test. If you are interested in trialing quinoa on your own farm, contact Jared Zystro at jared@seedalliance.org for small amounts of trial seed.
