Announcing Early Giving for GiveBIG 2024: Help us raise $20,000

It’s that time of year again – the buzz is in the air as we gear up for GiveBIG 2024. We’re excited to announce the launch of early giving; help us get a jump start on reaching our goal of $20,000! As part of this fundraising campaign, we invite you to join hands with Organic Seed Alliance in sowing the seeds of equity, abundance, and resilience for the future of organic seeds.

Give Early!

What is GiveBIG?
GiveBIG is a fundraiser that offers the opportunity to shape collective change. Each spring, individuals and organizations across Washington state come together to invest in the betterment of communities. Through GiveBIG, people can take proactive steps towards creating the society they envision. Last year, over 46,000 donations totaling $12.8 million showcased the incredible generosity and impact of this initiative.

About Organic Seed Alliance
As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, Organic Seed Alliance remains dedicated to promoting organic seed. Despite challenges like climate change, seed privatization, and socioeconomic strains, we’re committed to empowering growers and putting the power of seed back into their hands. Our work takes the shape of research, education, and advocacy, with an emphasis on relationship building and network development, while adapting to the changing world around us.

How You Can Help
Your support of Organic Seed Alliance through GiveBIG contributes to critical initiatives shaping the future of seed:

  • Collaborative Research: Your donations enable us to conduct impactful research on crop improvement and seed production for organic systems, paving the way for a more resilient food future.
  • Education: We provide essential education on the agronomic, economic, and socio-political aspects of seed work, empowering growers and stewards with the knowledge they need to thrive.
  • Advocacy: OSA advocates for policies that support organic agriculture and farmers’ rights to save seed, ensuring that our seed systems remain in the hands of the people.
  • Community Building: Your contributions help us organize and convene the Organic Seed Growers Conference, fostering a vibrant community of seed stewards.
