Announcing Early Giving for GiveBIG 2025: Help us raise $10,000

Announcing GiveBIG 2025

It’s that time of year again – GiveBIG 2025 is approaching and early giving has begun! Help us kick-start our ambitious goal of $10,000 this year. Organic Seed Alliance invites you to join our mission of fostering equity, abundance, and resilience in organic seed systems as we build on two decades of impact.  Now more than ever OSA needs your generous support, especially as we face federal funding freezes across our programs and continued uncertainty.

Early Giving Is Open Now!

What is GiveBIG? GiveBIG unites individuals and organizations across Washington state each spring in a powerful fundraising movement for community transformation. This statewide initiative empowers people to actively invest in the society they envision. Last year’s GiveBIG supporters helped us continue to strengthen our policy and advocacy work at the national level and we are thrilled that our Director of Policy and Advocacy, Dr. Cathleen McCluskey was recently appointed to the National Organic Standards Board.

As we move into our third decade of service, Organic Seed Alliance continues our dedicated work in organic seed systems. In today’s world of intensifying climate challenges, increasing seed industry consolidation, and ongoing socioeconomic pressures, our mission to empower growers and democratize seed systems has never been more vital. Through strategic research, comprehensive education, and tireless advocacy, we’re strengthening networks and adapting our approaches to meet emerging challenges.

Your Support Grows These Essential Programs:

  • Research: Your donations fund crucial crop improvement and seed production research specifically tailored for organic systems, building agricultural resilience for generations to come.
  • Education: We provide farmers and seed stewards with comprehensive education on the practical, economic, and systemic aspects of seed work, equipping them with tools for success.
  • Policy Advocacy: OSA champions policies supporting organic agriculture and farmers’ seed sovereignty, ensuring diverse seed systems remain accessible to all.
  • Outreach: Your contributions make possible gatherings like our renowned Organic Seed Growers Conference, nurturing vibrant connections among seed stewards nationwide.

Planting Seeds for the Next Generation

As we continue this important work, your participation fuels our vision. Together, we’re cultivating an abundant and diverse organic seed supply, stewarded by empowered communities throughout Washington and beyond.

How to Give: Visit the GiveBIG website to donate to Organic Seed Alliance between now and May 7th. Every contribution, regardless of size, plants seeds of positive change for a more sustainable future.

Spread the Word: Follow and share our campaign on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Help us amplify the message that organic seed matters!

Thank you for growing with us. Your support today cultivates the resilient seed systems of tomorrow.
