The Seeds We Plant: Celebrating the Impact of OSGC 2025

What happens when nearly 700 seed growers, plant breeders, researchers, and advocates come together from across North America and beyond? Collaboration—and measurable impact.

Earlier this year, the 12th Organic Seed Growers Conference convened seed communities in Corvallis, Oregon, and online through Organic Seed Commons. Over four memorable days, the community came together to share knowledge, swap seeds, weave new visions for organic seed communities, and plant the foundations for collaborations that are already taking root across the continent.

From the Spanish-language pre-conference sessions to Vivien Sansour’s powerful keynote, from late-night conversations at the Seed Swap to the collaborative breeding projects now sprouting from new connections—the ripple effects of OSGC 2025 continue to unfold.

We’re honored to share our full Impact Report, which captures not just the numbers but the stories, connections, and momentum that make this conference so unique. You’ll see how participants plan to apply what they learned and the ways this gathering is strengthening organic seed systems from local to global scales.

Thank you to everyone who made this conference possible—our planning committee, the seed growers and researchers who shared their expertise, our incredible speakers, dedicated participants, generous sponsors, and all the hands that helped bring this vision to life. The impact you’ll read about happened because of this community working together. Here’s to the seeds we’re planting together and the abundant harvest ahead.
