Join OSA for a community field day and tasting at OSA’s Research Farm at Finnriver Farm & Cidery in Chimacum, Washington. The event celebrates the 4th annual harvest at our Washington research site, which serves as the hub of OSA’s Pacific Northwest organic plant breeding, seed education, and variety trial projects.
We’ll take a close look at OSA’s research in the field and taste varieties from current trials. Join us to celebrate harvest season and discuss the importance of regional seed systems and why increasing access to organic seed is important to farmers, the communities they feed, and the environment.
Finnriver Cidery will be open for no-host tastings and purchases at 4:00 p.m. The variety tasting and chef-showcase will begin tentatively at 5:30 p.m. In addition to the variety tasting, local chefs from the Olympic Peninsula will serve appetizers showcasing the culinary potential of the vegetables grown in our trials. These times are tentative. Please check back closer to the date.
This event is free of charge and all are welcome. We request that you RSVP prior to the event, but it’s not required.
