California Field Day at the CR Shively Farm

Local and regional seed growers will showcase several organic vegetable research and plant breeding projects. 

Date: Weds, Sept 10th
Time:
5:00 – 5:45 Dinner, 5:45 – 7:00 Farm Tour & Discussion
Location: CR Shively Farm (409 Shively Flat Road, Scotia, CA 95565)
PLEASE NOTE THAT SHIVELY ROAD WILL BE CLOSED FOR MAINTANENCE. USE THE SHIVELY “SUMMER BRIDGE” INSTEAD. DIRECTIONS HERE
Cost: Free, registration required.

Jared Zystro (OSA’s Research and Education Director) will present on topics covering organic vegetable seed production, organic tomato breeding and pathogen management. Silas Sarvinski (CR Shively Farm Manager) will also lead a farm tour and equipment demonstration. A free dinner of meat or veggie burgers, sides, and a tomato tasting will be provided from 5:00 – 5:45pm, followed by a farm tour and discussion.
