We plan to talk about principles of cooperativism with Adrionna Fike, a co-owner of Mandela Foods Cooperative in West Oakland. Adrionna Fike is a cooperative developer based in the San Francisco Bay Area, currently working with Cooperation Richmond. Previously, she was a co-owner of Mandela Grocery Cooperative, a Black worker-owned grocery store in Oakland. Today, she enjoys supporting cooperatives through popular and political education and designs arts-based learning tools for youth and land stewards that use poetry, play, storytelling, and critical reflection to make cooperative concepts sticky and unforgettable.
