Farm Bill Town Hall with Senator Stabenow’s Team

4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Eastern | NATURE AND NURTURE SEEDS FARM | 7100 MARSHALL ROAD | DEXTER, MICHIGAN

You’re invited to join fellow farmers and Organic Seed Alliance for a town hall conversation with staff from Senator Debbie Stabenow’s office on Friday, August 18th from 4 – 6 p.m. at Nature and Nurture Seeds Farm in Dexter, Michigan. The Senator’s staff is looking forward to hearing from Michigan-based farmers about the upcoming 2023 Farm Bill and how it can support our local agricultural systems.

The gathering will include a short overview about the Farm Bill and an intimate town hall style conversation about how the 2023 Farm Bill can strengthen the local organic and sustainable farming systems in Michigan and beyond. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.

Cathleen McCluskey is the Executive Director at Organic Seed Alliance. Her interdisciplinary research on the ways in which context influences the relationship between humans and seed helps guide the organization in further stewarding equitable, inclusive programs rooted in participatory methodologies and aimed at putting the power of seed in the hands of growers.
