OSA is a proud member of the Sustainable Agriculture Coalition and we’re excited to share details about the upcoming Farmers for Climate Action Rally for Resilience that we’re co-hosting in Washington D.C.

Every day, farmers work at the front lines of the climate crisis.

Farmers and farmworkers around the country are experiencing the increasing impacts of climate change. But many of them are also at the leading edge of developing climate solutions. Federal policy needs to promote and encourage farmer-led climate solutions, many of which have come from communities of color.

While the past year has seen significant investments to incentivize climate-friendly agriculture, necessary on-the-ground change requires further policy transformation.

The next Farm Bill needs to explicitly empower farmers to address climate change, by providing resources, assistance, and incentives that will allow them to lead the way in implementing proven climate solutions.

The Rally for Resilience will bring together farmers and farm organizations from all over the country with a united request for their members of Congress–make climate change policy a priority in the 2023 Farm Bill!
