Kale Breeding Workshop with Laurie McKenzie

Join OSA’s Laurie McKenzie and event hosts FarmFolk CityFolk for a daylong workshop focused on breeding kale. Kale is a popular crop in BC and a great candidate for breeding and seed production. Classroom and field instruction will include brassica genetics, kale characteristics, breeding plans, roguing and selection, bud pollination, designing trials, and observing traits.
