Join us for a Seed Saving Field Day on September 28th, in collaboration with Keep Growing Detroit!
This field day will serve as an on-farm workshop for farmers to learn about organic seeds, and to facilitate the increased use and production of organic seeds in the Midwest. A focus of this program will be how climate impacts seed production, and how organic farmers can mitigate against climatic challenges to produce high-quality seeds.
Featuring:
- Demonstrations on seed cleaning for various crops led by experienced seed producers and seed keepers
- Insightful speakers, including OSA’s Michael Lordon, sharing their expertise
- Refreshments and complimentary seed saving kits for first 50 attendees
