Fall National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) Meeting

The National Organic Standards Board (NOSB) will meet to discuss substances petitioned for addition to or deletion from the National List of Allowed and Prohibited Substances (National List), substances due to sunset from the National List in 2026, and recommendations on organic policies.

The NOSB typically meets twice per year in various locations around the United States. Prior to meetings, the NOSB reviews written public comments and listens to oral public comments. During meetings, the NOSB discusses agenda items, and then votes on recommendations to the Secretary in a public forum. Detailed meeting information, including agendas, locations, proposals, and public comments, will be posted below as it becomes available. Public Comment Webinars

  • Day 1: Tuesday, October 15 from Noon – 5:00 pm Eastern
  • Day 2: Thursday, October 17 from Noon – 5:00 pm Eastern

Public Meeting

  • Day 1: Tuesday, October 22 from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm Pacific
  • Day 2: Wednesday, October 23 from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm Pacific
  • Day 3: Thursday, October 24 from 9:00 am – 6:00 pm Pacific

The meetings are free, open to the public, and no registration is required, except to sign up for oral comments. Details on how to make written and/or oral comments will be added when the meeting announcement publishes in the Federal Register. Times shown for face-to-face meetings are always in the meeting location’s local time zone. Webinars and commenting deadlines are always based on the Eastern time zone.
