The Organic Seed Growers Conference is the largest event focused solely on organic seed in North America, and in 2025 brought together more than 413 In-Person attendees 286 Virtual attendees across 36 states and internationally.

Attendee Demographics

  • Nearly 50% of farmers who attended had been farming for 10+ years, pointing to the high level of expertise present.
  • 23% of attendees had been to one or more Conferences, and 13% had been once before, demonstrating the value of the event over time.
  • The top four demographics included farmers working with seed, followed by seed companies, plant breeders and Non-Governmental Organizations. 51.6% Growers Working with Seed 8.6% Seed Companies 7.7% Plant Breeders 7.4% NGOs

We gathered virtually for the first time in conference history on Organic Seed Commons, a online network for seed people to connect with one another. The biennial conference has been convening for over two decades and always includes a packed agenda of presentations, panel discussions, networking events, and celebration.

The conference proceedings available here include more than 60 presentations across 90 speakers, including hybrid poster and lightning talk presenters on a wide array of topics within the tracks of seed growing, plant breeding, policy advocacy, and seed stories.
