A Listening Session to Help Shape Future Innovation in U.S. Agriculture

OSA co-hosted this virtual listening session with the National Center for Appropriate Technology and National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition. Dozens of farmers and ranchers took a break from their busy days to make their voice heard on how agricultural innovation can support their operations, the environment, and their economic livelihood. The listening session was prompted by the USDA’s invitation to comment on its Agricultural Innovation Agenda, which will inform research and innovation priorities, both in the public and private sector, for the next three decades.

We want to thank NCAT for hosting this listening session and our partners at the National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition who helped plan this event and who incorporated this input into formal comments addressed to the USDA. We’re also grateful to USDA staff members who joined the call to hear firsthand from the many stakeholders joining the listening session.
