OSA Advocacy and Communications Director, Cathleen McCluskey, will deliver a guest lecture at The Evergreen State College on May 9th. The talk titled Data blanks by design: Intellectual property rights used on U.S. maize, restrictions on public research, and implications will focus on Cathleen’s dissertation research on standing maize genetic diversity, intellectual property rights, and democratization of knowledge, and ways that OSA is addressing these issues through our participatory advocacy program. Students from the Ecological Agriculture, Practice of Organic Farming, and Land-Based Learning classes will participate.
