Registration Closes Today for our 10-Year Celebration

fundraiser_electronic_FINALJust a quick note to remind you that registration for our 10-year anniversary celebration closes tonight at midnight. To tantalize your taste buds, we’ve posted the menu, which is largely made up of local ingredients generously donated by farmers we partner with in the community. There are still seats available, so reserve your place today!

Whether you can make Saturday’s event or not, you can still view some of the art that will be on display and for sale as part of our local artist exhibit, titled, Seed: Potential and Inspiration.

And if you missed our interview this week with Steve Evans of KPTZ Community Radio in Port Townsend, I hope you’ll take a few minutes to listen to the podcast. I also recently sat down with the Port Townsend Leader to discuss our history and upcoming event. Here’s a short snippet from the article, “Reap what you sow: Organic Seed Alliance celebrates ten years:”

Organic produce begins at the source. It’s a recognized fact and one that Micaela Colley, Organic Seed Alliance (OSA) executive director, appreciates isn’t lost on local consumers.

“I see the level of awareness that resides in our community,” she said. “It certainly encourages us to have so many regional partners dedicated to furthering our mission.”

Our community members — that’s you! — have contributed greatly to our success. On Saturday, attendees will receive a packet of ‘Abundant Bloomsdale’ spinach seed. This variety honors our roots, and represents a collaboration with eight farms in the region. It’s our first release. And it’s a small thank you for helping us grow not just seed, but a thriving organization.

Hope to see you on Saturday!

A special thanks to our table hosts, Port Townsend Food Co-op, Nash’s Organic Produce, and Chimacum Corner Farmstand. If you are interested in hosting your own table at our anniversary celebration,  email us directly to reserve your place.
