OSA’s 4th Annual Community Field Day and Tasting

OSA's Laurie McKenzie demonstrates how to clean tomato seed at last year's Community Field Day and Tasting.

Join Organic Seed Alliance and explore new flavors at our Community Field Day and Tasting on Monday, October 1st, in Chimacum, Washington! We’ll gather at OSA’s Research Farm at Finnriver Farm & Cidery – the hub of OSA’s Pacific Northwest organic plant breeding, seed education, and variety trial projects – to tour the field and taste varieties of organic produce from our current research projects. The event is free of charge and all are welcome.

Date | Monday, October 1, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Location | OSA’s Research Farm at Finnriver Farm & Cidery, 124 Center Rd., Chimacum, WA
Cost | Free of charge and open to all
RSVP | We’d like to know you’re coming with an RSVP, but it isn’t required

In addition to the variety tasting, enjoy appetizers prepared by local chefs that showcase the culinary potential of what’s growing in our fields. Our Washington research site is located at Finnriver Cidery which will be open for no-host tastings and purchases. The field tour will be from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. with the variety tasting and chef showcase following from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Join us as we celebrate harvest season, and connect about the importance of regional seed systems and why increasing access to organic seed is important to farmers, the communities they feed, and the environment.

Thanks to the Sustainable Path Foundation for supporting this event.
