Support Organic Seed · May 10, 2022

Thank you for Giving BIG!

Thanks to the generous contributions of our supporters and matching donors — including our friends at Organically Grown Company — Organic Seed Alliance raised $8,290 during last week’s Washington-based #GiveBIG campaign!

This support directly benefits OSA’s ability to:

  • Train more farmers to grow and adapt seed
  • Expand our outreach to better understand the seed needs of small-scale farmers from diverse communities
  • Enhance the diversity and resilience of organic crops, from field corn for tortillas to carrots for your salad, through plant breeding and research that engages local farmers as scientists in the field

We are so grateful for the support of our community! Thanks for investing in the future of seed.

About Organically Grown Company

Organically Grown Company was founded in 1978 by a group of gardeners, small-scale farmers, hippies and environmental activists with a shared vision to expand the availability of and demand for organic produce. They started the business as a non-profit which quickly evolved into a community-led cooperative with a mission to develop a fair and just marketplace. As they continue to be a leader in promoting organic agriculture and sustainable food systems, they work diligently to find innovative solutions that support the ongoing success of stakeholders — growers, customers, coworkers, and community.
