August 22, 2019
2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. | West Madison Research Station | 8502 Mineral Point Road | Verona, Wisconsin

Our research partners at University of Wisconsin–Madison are busy in the field and you’re invited to check it out firsthand. Join Organic Seed Alliance, University of Wisconsin researchers, seed company representatives, and independent breeders for the Organic Vegetable Research Showcase on August 22nd. We’ll tour new varieties bred for outstanding flavor and disease resistance, and that thrive in organic systems along the Northern tier of the U.S. We’ll get a chance to see trials and breeding plots from the Seed to Kitchen Collaborative, the Northern Organic Vegetable Improvement Collaborative (NOVIC), the Carrot Improvement for Organic Agriculture (CIOA) project, and the Tomato Organic Management Improvement Project (TOMI).

The field day will include beets, carrots, tomatoes, peppers, potatoes, melons, cucumbers, sweet corn, and winter squash. The event is free and open to the public. Learn more here.
