Host Farm Info
Host Name:Nathaniel, Annie Talbot, Jesperson
Farm description:Deep Harvest Farm is a certified-organic vegetable, seed and flower farm on Washington State’s Whidbey Island. We focus on three-season vegetable production as well as growing over 100 varieties of Certified Organic, Open-Pollinated, and Non-GMO seed. While a handful of varieties found in our catalog are grown by other reputable organic growers in the Pacific Northwest, the vast majority are grown here at Deep Harvest Farm. Ecological soil management techniques such as minimal tillage, cover cropping, and building organic matter are the farm’s guiding principles, and we’re constantly seeking opportunities to further learn from the land, soil and seeds. Through the expansion of native hedgerows, fruit orchards and flowering perennials, we strive to provide as much habitat for pollinators and wildlife on the farm as possible.
Nathaniel Talbot and Annie Jesperson have been growing seed for wholesale and packet sales for 10 years on Whidbey Island.
